President Tinubu Appoints New NDDC Nominees for Ondo and Cross River States

In a recent development, President Bola Tinubu has taken decisive action by appointing new nominees to represent Ondo and Cross River States in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). These appointments signal a shift in leadership within the NDDC.

The President has chosen Hon. Otito Atikase as the new nominee to represent Ondo State, replacing Mr. Victor Akinjo. Similarly, Mr. Asi Oku Okang, who previously served as the NDDC’s Cross River State representative nominee, will be succeeded by Rt. Hon. Orok Otu Duke.

This significant decision was communicated through a statement issued by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, in Abuja on Friday.

Furthermore, the statement also confirmed the reappointment of Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, the immediate past Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the NDDC, for a second term. Dr. Ogbuku will continue in an acting capacity until the Senate confirms his reappointment.

These strategic appointments mark a pivotal moment in the NDDC’s leadership and underscore President Tinubu’s commitment to ensuring effective representation and governance in the Niger Delta region.
